With the implementation of the project, easier and safer access to the renovated platform was arranged for all passengers at both stations of the upgraded sections and also adapted access was enabled for people with mobility impairments in Poljčane and Slovenska Bistrica. With the implementation of the project, the transport throughput and transport capacity of the line was increased, which also affects the increase in the speed of trains. With the abolition of road level crossings and the construction of an overpass and a mandatory road in Spodnja Brežica, the road safety has also been significantly increased.
